210 - Behind Is a Feeling, Not a Fact

Hey Powerhouse!

You feel behind because you've spent years following every similar account in your niche. You studied them. You know their moves. You're comparing yourself to a curated set of people you've been intentionally watching. But your actual client didn't do that research. Your client found one person who helps them and stopped looking. They're not comparing you to five competitors. They're comparing you to nobody. You're not behind your competitors. You're behind a highlight reel of people you chose to follow. That's different. The comparison spiral happens because the more accounts you study, the further behind you feel. But that's not information about your progress. That's information about your feed.

Stop being a student of your niche. Know your space, yes. But don't live inside it. One audit of what's out there. Then step back and focus on your lane. The best entrepreneurs aren't constantly tracking competitors. They're building their own thing. Different people are drawn to different personalities anyway. Someone teaches exactly what you teach but slower, warmer, funnier, more direct. Someone chooses that person over you or over someone else based on how they show up. That's not weakness. That's your strength. You're not behind. You're on a different timeline. The person you're comparing yourself to started years ago. Of course they're further along. That doesn't mean you're behind. It means you're earlier in your story.
